Summer Teen Enrichment Program

The Teen Enrichment Program brings together 10-12 high school students for a 4-week summer program. Participants pursue their interests in history while developing important life- and work-skills, such as teamwork, communication, public speaking, responsibility, and self-confidence. Students will:

Go behind-the-scenes in the museum
Learn from local historians and museum staff
Visit and analyze exhibits
Explore original historical materials
Work one-on-one with museum and library professionals
Take field trips to other museums and historic sites
Work on a culminating group activity to share with the public

Eligibility: Students entering grades 9-12
Dates: Monday-Thursday, July 9 - August 2, 2012
Time: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Cost: $600
Location: Connecticut Historical Society, One Elizabeth Street, Hartford
