Genealogy
The Connecticut Historical Society collections include printed genealogies, Connecticut town and city directories (incomplete runs), and local histories (including published vital records, church records, and cemetery inscriptions) for New England and some non-New England states. In addition, the collections include the following:

Collections compiled by professional genealogists for clients or by individuals working on their own families. Material is filed by family or town, and includes compiled family histories, data sheets, notes, copies of bible records, miscellaneous abstracts of probate, land, church, and vital records. Includes the work of Donald Lines Jacobus, Julius Gay, H. W. Brainard, D. W. Patterson, Edna Miner Rogers, E. E. Case, and L. B. Barbour.
The Library is also a subscriber to a number of online genealogical research sites, and from the CHS you will have full access to these online databases. We also have CD-ROM resources that you may make complete use of.
