Juan Fuentes Gallery

The artistic and documentary works of photographer Juan Fuentes-Vizcarrondo capture the spirit and the important issues of the Puerto Rican community in Hartford since the early 1960s.

Juan Fuentes-Vizcarrondo was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico and has been a Hartford resident for more than thirty years. His work has been widely exhibited locally, nationally and in Puerto Rico and was recently featured on CPTV's "Hartford Moments." Fuentes-Vizcarrondo has been honored for his achievements by Aetna Insurance, The Hartford Courant and the National Arts Program. In addition, Fuentes-Vizcarrondo has shared his talents with students of all ages as a photography teacher.

He continues to be an activist for and supporter of the Puerto Rican community.
