How-To Workshop:
Researching Your Historic House

This workshop, which features the CHS collection of architectural plans and drawings, will be led by independent researcher Samuel Benton Guiney III and CHS Curator of Graphics Nancy Finlay. The introduction will provide a background survey of domestic architectural styles in Hartford, and participants will examine the variety of Research Center resources (photographs, maps and atlases, newspapers, city directories) and online databases available for historic house research. Participants will also be able to use these resources to investigate their own houses. Registration includes admission to the Research Center and museum exhibits after the workshop. Bluegrass Performance by Phil Rosenthal
