The Rosewood Chamber Ensemble will take us on a musical journey through the life and times of our sixth President, noted diplomat, theater and opera devotee, and flute player, John Quincy Adams. "Musical Dialogues" is a series of free community concerts by musicians from the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. All ages are encouraged to attend. This is the first biography of one of Connecticut's most colorful and notorious statesmen. A pivotal figure at the end of the 19th century, Morgan Bulkeley was president of Aetna Life and also served four terms as mayor of Hartford, two terms as Connecticut's governor, and one term in the U.S. Senate. Kevin Murphy is also the author of Water for Hartford, the Story of the Hartford Water Works and the Metropolitan District Commission.
