New Exhibit Now OPEN: September 11, 2001: Connecticut Responds and Reflects
August 16 - October 15, 2011 FREE ADMISSION
In honor of the 10th anniversary of the tragedies of September 11, 2001, the Connecticut Historical Society presents the final installation of its traveling exhibition, September 11, 2001: Connecticut Responds and Reflects. Since 2006, this exhibition has traveled around the state each fall to honor the 153 Connecticut men, women, and children who lost their lives, as well as the Connecticut citizens who responded to this tragedy. The exhibition includes a selection of objects, memories, photographs, audio clips and videos, as well as Connecticut's 9/11 Memorial Library, paying tribute to each individual victim. Presented with the support of Liz and Steven Goldstone and the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism.
