Explore our Making Connecticut exhibit by traveling through and making stops at several hands-on activity stations. Families will learn about a different period in Connecticut history at each station. After completing a "stop," kids will stamp a new page in their passport. Complete your Making Connecticut Passport and get a FREE cupcake! Additional cupcakes will be available for purchase. This program is recommended for ages 4-12. Recently published, this Connecticut wartime history provides "a remarkable window into the state's involvement in a conflict that challenged and defined the unity of a nation." Matthew Warshauer's work encompasses both battlefield and home front and includes complex stories of political parties and questions about racial policy. Dr. Warshauer is Professor of History at Central Connecticut State University and Co-Chair of the Connecticut Civil War Commemoration Commission.
