Whet Your Appetite, the Community Cook-Off is here!

Friday, April 5 | 5:30 - 7:30 pm $10 for CHS members $15 non-members
Get a taste of what’s coming to the table on April 5 for the CHS Community Cook-Off!
Everyone will be treated to scrumptious food from The Pond House Café including:
Chocolate covered smoked bacon with poblano whipped cream Sweet potato biscuit with turkey, cheese and cranberry sauce Duck confit taco with mango salsa
PLUS, here’s a sneak peek at what some of the Community Cook-Off contestants are making and what they have to say about their dishes:
Bazaar Chicken Pie: “This is no ordinary Chicken Pot Pie—not a pea or carrot in sight!”
Tomato Aspic: “Look, Ma: no marshmallows!”
Sweet Savory Pork: “I enjoy spice and a day doesn’t pass without chocolate!”
Whether you are a cook or just love food, don’t miss the great celebration on April 5! You don’t have to enter a dish to enjoy wonderful food from the The Pond House Cafe, wine donated by CT Valley Views, a beer tasting by Hooker Brewery, and spirits featuring Onyx moonshine.
And for another sneak peek, look for CHS on Better Connecticut (WFSB) on March 29 and Connecticut Style (WTNH) on April 3--we’ll be stirring up some buzz and cooking up Top Hat Burgers!
