Scheduling a Program with Us
This year for the first time, make one phone call to book tours and educational programs at the Connecticut Historical Society, Old State House, and in your school.

Times and Days
- School and youth tours are scheduled Monday through Friday between 9:15 and 4:00. Youth tours and programs may also be available on Saturdays.
- Outreach programs are scheduled Monday through Friday, allowing for transportation time from Hartford.
Fees
- Costs vary with the length of the program and are listed with the individual program descriptions.
- There is a minimum $30 fee per program.
- Fee reductions may be available for groups requiring financial assistance. Requests must be made in writing to: Director of Education, attn: Fee Waiver, Connecticut Historical Society, One Elizabeth Street, Hartford, CT 06105.
Group Size
- All school and youth groups of more than 10 students must make a reservation. In fairness to all our visitors, we ask you to schedule your program at least two weeks in advance.
- Group size limits vary and are listed with the individual program descriptions.
Chaperones
- We require 1 adult chaperone for every 10 students; 1 adult for every 5 students is admitted free of charge. Each additional adult accompanying the group is charged the program fee.
Lunch Facilities
- You may picnic outside at both locations, weather permitting.
- Inside lunch space may be reserved for up to 50 students for a fee of $25. ADVANCE RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR INDOOR SPACE AT BOTH LOCATIONS.
Confirmation
- A written confirmation will be mailed prior to your scheduled program. In the event that you must cancel a tour or program, please contact us at least one week in advance.

- Any specific teacher goals for program
